Air Fryer Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry
Ingredients (4–6 pastries)
- 1 sheet puff pastry (if frozen, thaw it first)
- 4–6 slices ham
- 4–6 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella, or gruyère)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- 1 tablespoon milk or water
- Optional: mustard, black pepper, sesame seeds, or poppy seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer
- Turn the air fryer to 180°C / 350°F for 3–5 minutes.
- Prepare the puff pastry
- Roll the puff pastry lightly on a flat surface.
- Cut it into rectangles or squares. The size depends on your air fryer basket.
- Make the pastries
- Optional: spread a thin layer of mustard on each piece.
- Place a slice of ham on one half of the pastry, then add cheese.
- Fold the pastry over and press the edges with a fork to close it.
- Add egg wash
- Mix the egg with milk or water.
- Brush the top of each pastry with this mixture.
- Sprinkle seeds if you like.
- Air fry the pastries
- Place them in a single layer in the basket. Don’t crowd them.
- Cook at 180°C / 350°F for 10–12 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Flip halfway if needed for even color.
- Cool and serve
- Let the pastries rest for 2–3 minutes.
- Serve warm.
Tips & Tricks
- Keep puff pastry cold until you are ready to use it for best puff.
- Don’t put too much filling, or cheese may spill.
- If the pastries brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil.

Notes:
