Air Fryer Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer:
Set the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and let it preheat for about 3–5 minutes. - Prepare the chicken:
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps the skin get crispy. - Season the chicken:
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub this mix all over the chicken thighs. - Place in air fryer:
Put the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket skin-side down. Don’t overcrowd the basket—leave space for the air to move around. - Cook the chicken:
Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12 minutes. Then flip the thighs and cook for another 10–12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp should be 165°F or 74°C). - Rest and serve:
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps keep it juicy.
Tips & Tricks:
- For extra crispy skin, spray the chicken with a little cooking spray before air frying.
- Use a meat thermometer to make sure the chicken is fully cooked.
- You can also use boneless thighs—just reduce the cooking time.
