Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer:
Set the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and let it preheat for about 3–5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the chicken:
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps the skin get crispy.
  3. Season the chicken:
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub this mix all over the chicken thighs.
  4. Place in air fryer:
Put the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket skin-side down. Don’t overcrowd the basket—leave space for the air to move around.
  5. Cook the chicken:
Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12 minutes. Then flip the thighs and cook for another 10–12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp should be 165°F or 74°C).
  6. Rest and serve:
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps keep it juicy.

Tips & Tricks:

  • For extra crispy skin, spray the chicken with a little cooking spray before air frying.
  • Use a meat thermometer to make sure the chicken is fully cooked.
  • You can also use boneless thighs—just reduce the cooking time.
